Let me welcome you to the beautiful and rustic, outdoor Malibu wedding of the very romantic couple, Kelly and James.  Everyone felt the sheer love and commitment of this memorable outdoor wedding day experience. All the planning and dedication it takes to make wedding dreams a reality, I assure you is worth it. There are so many magnificent moments of this day that made my wedding photographer’s heart sing. Kelly and James chose Cielo Farms, Malibu, California for their wedding venue. Set in an olive grove and surrounded by breath-taking mountains Cielo Farms, Malibu is perfect for an outdoor wedding. The elegance of the Tuscan-inspired villa overlooking the Santa Monica mountains is spectacular both day and night. What a romantic and fairy-tale wedding Kelly and James experienced. You could be forgiven for thinking you were in Italy, drinking wine from the Tuscany vineyards.

Owned by the Hirsh family since 1999 Cielo Farms, Malibu is an outstanding venue for your wedding day plans.  Spanning over 30 acres, the Tuscan-inspired estate offers lush landscape and panoramic views for picturesque wedding portraits.  This Malibu wedding venue sets the scene for the most unforgettable outdoor weddings.  Kelly and James were relaxed and full of joy, I couldn’t help but capture romance and timelessness at this unique wedding venue. Located within the 30-mile studio zone of Los Angeles your wedding day experience could rival that of any Hollywood movie. 

From 2017 to date, Cielo Farms in California has been the proud recipient of the Best Outdoor Vendor.  2022 also saw them winners of the Best Overall Vendor. Now that is hard to top when it comes to awards. It is easy to see why they continue to rate high as exceptional vendors, when you view the wedding photos.

About the couple

Kelly looked radiant in a classic, timeless satin bridal dress with a sweetheart neckline. The back view was as stunning as the front, with satin covered buttons all the way to the floor. The chapel length train and satin edged veil added beautifully to the romantic atmosphere. Kelly wore pleated organza, open toe Camellia Knot Mules with ankle straps. She accessorized with diamond studs, matching diamond pendant and a pearl bridal clip on her flowing Hollywood waves.

James made a dashing groom in his plaid, blue suit, white bow tie and tan shoes. From the first-look photos to the sunset wedding portraits I enjoyed taking photos of their love story. As a travelling wedding photographer, you get the privilege to paint a portrait of true love through each photo you take. 

Ceremony & Reception:

The ceremony site had majestic scenic views of the Santa Monica Mountains in the distance.  The rounded bridal arch was full of white seasonal florals as was the ceremony and reception areas. After climbing the steps on the side of the vineyard, I was able to get “drone-like” aerial photos of the ceremony and reception.   I was also successful in catching an aerial shot of the stunning bridal couple’s first dance. Kelly was literally swept off her feet by James.

An extra special moment of their day was when we snuck away on the golf carts to capture the most beautiful sunset portraits of this stunning couple.  The amazing yellow and orange colours of the sunset radiating across the mountains making the most wonderful backdrop for private portraits of the bride and groom.

One of my favourite moments of photographing this outdoor wedding was when we returned to the reception. string lights and fire pits twinkling in the moonlight.

This dream-come-true wedding day ended with a silent disco which was such a lovely surprise for the family and friends of Kelly and James.
