Contracts

Running a legitimate, protected business is one of the best gifts you can give yourself and your clients. Since 2021, I’ve trusted The Legal Paige for every contract I use in both my photography and education businesses. I’ve personally purchased over a dozen of her templates, and even helped co-create The Film Photography Contract, which is now available in her shop. These templates are thorough, attorney-drafted, and made specifically for creatives with no filler and no confusion.

For Educators

If you’re stepping into teaching, mentoring, or selling digital resources, having the right contracts in place is non-negotiable. These will help you stay protected and confident as you grow your education brand.

Whether you're building a brand, a classroom, or a legacy, let your contracts protect the dream you’re working so hard for.

Whether you're booking weddings, sessions, or hiring associate shooters, these contracts are built to protect your time, income, and work. I use all contracts below almost weekly in my business.

Pelican 1535 Case with TrekPak Dividers

I use this for all road weddings. It’s rugged and padded with TrekPak dividers for ultra-organization. It’s my peace-of-mind gear vault. This is also carry-on size for airlines.

Spider Double Holster

I wear it every single wedding day and cannot imagine shooting without it.

Wearing this changed everything. It shifted the weight off my neck and shoulders and onto my hips meaning no more tension headaches or sore traps post-wedding. It’s ergonomic, adjustable, and compatible with both my digital and film systems.

Flash Gear

If I need a little extra power or want a crisp, clean look with more punch, especially for portraits or editorial setups, I’ll bring out the Profoto A2. It’s incredibly compact for the output it delivers and runs on a rechargeable battery that lasts through long events. The Profoto trigger makes dialing in settings seamless, and the build quality is next level. A splurge, but a worthy one if you love working with flash in a polished, intentional way.

Profoto Connect Pro Trigger

Profoto A2 Monolight

Profoto A2 Moonlight + Profoto Trigger

This is my main on-camera and off-camera flash for receptions, getting ready rooms, and low-light portraits. The round head gives a soft, even spread of light, and the built-in rechargeable battery lasts all day. I use the V1-C for Canon, but it’s also available for Sony and Nikon. Pair it with the Godox X3 trigger—a touchscreen transmitter that allows me to control off-camera flashes with precision. Super intuitive and fast to adjust on the fly.

Godox X3 Trigger

Godox V1 Flash

Godox V1 Flash + Godox Trigger

Whether I’m bouncing light indoors or creating off-camera flash magic during receptions, I rely on a setup that’s consistent, lightweight, and reliable. These are the flash systems I use every single wedding day, depending on the environment and what I want the final image to feel like.

Film Camera Recommendations

Film completely transformed the way I see and capture weddings. It invites you to slow down, shoot with intention, and lean into the magic of imperfection. Below are the cameras I use and each one serves a different purpose and brings its own unique character to my work.

These are the film cameras I keep in rotation for weddings, travel, and creative projects:

Holga 120

Best for: Experimental creativity, grain, and light leaks

This camera is pure fun. The Holga is a plastic medium format camera that’s unpredictable and wildly imperfect and that’s exactly why I love it. You never know what you’re going to get. I bring this out when I want to break creative rules and create something moody, emotional, or unexpected. It’s also a great conversation starter.

Perfect for creative exploration.

Contax G2

Best for: Travel, candid moments, reception storytelling

This 35mm rangefinder is compact, sleek, and sharp. I love it for behind-the-scenes moments, cocktail hours, and travel days. It feels like shooting on a point-and-shoot but with way more power and clarity. The Zeiss lenses are stunning, especially the 45mm f/2, and the autofocus makes it wedding-day friendly.

It’s small, but mighty and always in my bag.

Pentax 645Nii

Best for: Medium format portraits, ceremony shots, editorial moments

This is my ride-or-die medium format camera. I use it to capture quiet, romantic portraits and intentional compositions with a dreamy depth of field. The 645Nii has reliable autofocus, built-in metering, and produces gorgeous tones with rich detail. It’s not the lightest camera, but it’s absolutely worth it for the image quality.

Where I reach when I want that signature fine-art film look.

Canon EOS-1V

Best for: Hybrid shooters, versatility, speed

This is my go-to 35mm SLR for wedding days when I want the control and reliability of a digital camera but on film. It’s compatible with all my Canon lenses, which makes it seamless to integrate into my digital workflow. Autofocus is fast, metering is accurate, and it’s a total workhorse. If you’re just starting with 35mm film and already shoot Canon digitally, this is a dream camera.

Feels like digital, but delivers that beautiful film softness and grain.
